The main concepts shown here is comparing the dull, bleak nature of the other services. Particularly important is the use of strings, showing literally how the characters are “tied up” in the dull nature of this service. By comparison, Netflix seems to be liberating and fun. The colors on the left side use dulled, blue colors while Netflix associates itself with a vibrant red to show its fun nature.

Facial expressions are key here as well. The couple on the left looks sad and even fed up while the couple on the right is enthused. Especially important with regards to marketing towards the brave new world is the use of a couple instead of individuals. This shows that Netflix is fun to enjoy with people instead of simply by your lonesome, which would be key to Netfeel advertisements as well.

Radio Spot

Radio Spot Style Model

In this advertisement, there is a man taking a shower, but his shower keeps being interrupted by commercials. The shower literally stops while the commercials are playing, and resumes afterward, to be compared to a TV show being interrupted by advertisements. The man is clearly outraged, and rightfully so. This can be further compared to a possible “entertainment outage” as a result of the Feelie Palace being full, as this would likely create a similar emotion in the citizens of the World State. Netfeel will be just like Netflix, delivering a constant stream or uninterrupted entertainment straight to the home.

TV Spot

TV Spot Style Model

In this advertisement, a heterosexual couple is shown sitting on the couch watching Netflix. It is apparent that they are watching a good TV show, and when an exciting event occurs in the show, the male partner is expressing awe, and his female counterpart is shown fake-expressing the same emotions. From this we can deduce that the female had already seen the event. This behavior shows the audience that Netflix, and the powers it allows the user to possess, is an exciting and addictive product. It clearly shows the audience that Netflix is a marketable service that will be used a lot. People like a product that they will be able to use often. Our Netfeel services will convey the same messages about our service, so this TV spot serves as a great model to base our own advertisements off of. People of the Brave New World already love the feelies, so our way of providing the feelies adds a new, exciting, and marketable facet to the one-dimensional feely industry.

Press Release

Jeff Stromboli: Greetings citizens! Tonight on Brave News World we will be unveiling a new revolutionary product from our friends at Netfeel. Without further adieu let us welcome Netfeel founder and CEO, Rick Hostings! Rick welcome.

Rick Hostings: Well thank you very much Mr. Stromboli

Jeff: Now today you are revealing your product to the masses, so please enlighten us on what exactly Netfeel is
Rick: Of course Jeff. Netfeel is quite frankly our take on reinventing the wheel. Netfeel services are a completely mobile port of the incredibly common practice of feelies. What I wanted to do was take all the social, visual, and physical aspects of the feely palace, and make it accessible to anyone with a television.

Jeff: Now if you don’t mind me interrupting, you stated that Netfeel can be accessed anywhere with a television. What are the practical aspects of this feature?

Rick: Well Jeff, as you may know, the feely palaces are institutions with set times of operation. Netfeel can be accessed at home, at a friends home, at your workplace, wherever, whenever. Not only can you indulge in feelies at 2:00 AM, but you can invite your entire neighborhood as well! Some people face the inevitable evil that is closing times and full shows at the feely palace. The only limit to your at home “feely palace” is the amount of your friends you can fit in your house.

Jeff: Well that sounds absolutely revolutionary. What was your inspiration?

Rick: It’s quite funny actually. I was taking a few girls and guys down to the palace after a night of heavy soma use. There was a really good debut feely, but when we got there it was sold out! If I had been able to see the show, I would’ve been able to have sooo many fine ladies. I didn’t want anyone else to feel that same pain I did.

Jeff: Now talk to us about the technical details. How much is Netfeel? And how soon can we get all of this!?

Rick: The basic Netfeel experience will cost $6.99 per month. That includes 24/7 access to Netfeel’s broad base of feelies fit for any occasion. The basic package will be released on July 5th. Later in the year we hope to have a premium package that allows users to view feelies in 2160p HD, and an ultra premium package that includes Netfeel services in virtual reality. So we have a lot lined up to keep us busy even after the initial launch.

Jeff: Well I certainly feel enlightened about all of this Netfeel business. Any last remarks Mr. Hostings?

Rick: I am very excited to unveil Netfeel, and I am eager to do business with all of you. Thanks a bunch Jeff for hosting this.

Jeff: Well I think the person doing all of the hosting is you Rick ;) Ladies and gentleman, give an enormous round of applause to the Ford of our generation! Mr. Rick Hostings everyone.

In this interview with George Stroumboulopoulos, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings talks about how Netflix works hard to find things that people like and produce more shows and movies like it. Netflix tracks everything from what shows people watch, how many times they watch it, what scenes are rewinded, what scenes are fast-forwarded through, and so on. This is to create the ultimate TV and movie experience for Netflix subscribers. Netfeel’s services will work in a similar way: finding out what people want and giving it to them.

We will conduct human trials and closely observe people’s feelie experiences. This will help us understand what needs to be tweaked in order to create a more user friendly experience that one would have in a feelie palace. We want to make Netfeel just as enjoyable as if you were spending the night at the palace, but all from the comfort of your own home.

Blog Post- Netfeel, Bringing the Feelies to You

Ever since the arrival of the Savage in our World State, feelies have been on the rise! With such hits as Three Weeks in a Helicopter and The Savage of Surrey, there is no better time to bring the feely experience right to your front door!

We at Netfeel are excited to announce the release of our premiere product. We are now offering the ability to stream with full sensory stimulation right from your home. Simply hook up your Netfeel box to any TV and make sure you buy yourself some Sensory Stimulators, to be attached near your television and used with your feelies to receive the full experience.

Our research into the current market has shown us that the demand for feelies is increasing. Instead of having to go through the hassle of a feelie palace, which could always run out of seats, come enjoy a feely with your friends in your own home. We can expect Netfeel to show a huge growth for both itself and the feely industry as a whole.

Currently we have a large catalog of currently released feelies, such as the ones mentioned at the start of this post. We hope to constantly expand our repertoire to bring a modern, enjoyable experience to all of our users. Later we plan to have our own, high quality feely productions for our users to enjoy.

 So what is next?
As we look towards the future, we plan to have Netfeel be a large part of the feely culture. Because the Netfeel can be enjoyed before you have a partner for the night or at a party, we can see the feely market rapidly expanding its accessibility. And who hasn't wanted to see a feely with all their friends after a rousing game of Obstacle Golf? Have a gramme and enjoy in comfort. We hope that you will support us in our mission to bring the feelies to you, without the hassle.

The Netflix blog utilizes vibrant colors which can be associated with a fun experience. They also utilize quotes in order to emphasize the greatness of their service. Various pictures are embedded into the blog showing their service. The diction in the blog is not overly formal, but rather casual to appeal to their internet browsing userbase.

Netflix’s blog also is emphasizing their new, up to date technology. They show off their new 4k feature heavily in the blog, and show how this feature will be especially useful for their users (this is particularly related to their language style, which is casual and open).
